Bent or twisted…you ever feel that way in life? Some days, some months, seem to go in a perfect straight line and then bam, out of the blue, life gets all bent and twisted. Hopefully your roots are deep and can withstand strong winds and stormy weather.
Growing up on the Finger Lakes in upstate New York made me a lover of the water. Whether by boat, feet, or seat, I have to be on the water, in the water or near the water. It is such a part of me.
I help condition the soil and am great to attract fish at the end of some pole with special line and a hook. Birds love me, cars crush me and sometimes things just get slimy. This is my view today. Tomorrow it may from the inside of a bird’s belly.
I am part of a group of endothermic vertebrates. I have feathers, a beak, a high metabolic rate, and I enjoy sitting on eggs. This is a view of my hood in upstate New York. My cousin Vinnie is around here somewhere. I am among the most intelligent animals. You can tell by the fact that I surround myself with really kind human beings that put food out for me almost daily and I get to take in this view of the lake all year ’round!
