Show Us Your Bokeh

Show us your what? Bokeh is the aesthetic quality of the blur produced in the out-of-focus parts of an image produced by a lens. The term comes from the Japanese word boke which means to “blur” or “haze”.

As I am still determining which camera, appropriate lenses and other additional necessary photography equipment will suite me best, I have been capturing photographs on a Canon Rebel. This is a photograph of a blue Plumbago plant with decent bokeh. Plumbago is a genus of 10–20 species of flowering plants in the family Plumbaginaceae.
